The Malaysia-India Business Council (MIBC) hosted an interactive session with Prof. (Dr.) Asheesh Pandey of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, together with 35 MBA students, on Tuesday, 9th September 2025 at Media Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

The session was headed by President Tan Sri Kuna Sittampalam, joined by Deputy President Tan Sri Dato’ N. Puvanendran, Hon. Secretary Datuk Surendran Menon, Treasurer Dr. Mohamed Ali Salim, Governing Council Members Mr. Girish Ramachandran and Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal, as well as Mr. Annuar Khairi.

The lively Q&A session between MIBC Council members and the IIFT students centered on current industry trends and challenges in trade and investment between India and Malaysia. Discussions explored opportunities and bottlenecks in the automobile and EV sectors, semiconductor development, as well as bilateral business flows and policy support needed to deepen collaboration.

This exchange gave students first-hand exposure to the realities of cross-border business while offering council members the opportunity to share insights on the evolving Malaysia–India economic partnership.
