On August 21, 2024, the Malaysia–India Business Council (MIBC) and Invest India renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. The signing took place in the presence of YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry.

The renewed MoU underscores a shared commitment to enhancing trade and investment ties between Malaysia and India. It also encourages Invest India, MIDA, MIBC, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to actively promote joint ventures in both countries as well as across the ASEAN region.
